The Volocopter Mobile Vertipad is a multi-functional, multi-modality infrastructure that bridges the different modes of transport. 

Our holistic concept should operate as package / container / trailer for the VoloDrone, a mobile take-off and landing platform, a space for maintenance and as a mobile charging station for the VoloDrone itself and the additional battery packs which have to be transported in the container. In addition it should be a frame including additional battery and especially a battery buffer for charging, automatic deployment process and energy supply for the ground control station. Finally, it should operate as a maneuverable stand-alone EV trailer to bring the platform in place and to maneuver on different terrains.
